Website updates, new pubs coming
Updated the website today, adding a “Public Relations” section, which includes a handful of articles from my time as an undergrad at the University of North Dakota. If anyone’s wondering why it took so long to showcase my PR work for UND, couple reasons: I didn’t know the articles were even available, and they misspelled my last name.
Good thing I’m not trying to make it as a professional writer, one who might have enjoyed having more examples of his work online. Otherwise that last name misspelling might have caused some real irritation for me.
Anyway.
Also added anchor links to the publictions page. Readers can now click on one of five options at the top of the page—Books, Fiction, Nonfiction, Journalism, Public Relations—and the page will auto-scroll to the location. Now anyone looking to read anything written by myself, or Matt Edison, can avoid the finger strain of manualing scrolling to their destination. Pretty common elsewhere, but for an increasingly un-tech-sauvy guy like myself, an exciting development.
Anyway.
Speaking of different genres of writing, “Poems” will be added to the publication page in the next couple months. The Wrath-Bearing Tree, a favorite pub of mine, has agreed to publish two poems by yours truly: “Corridors” and “The Dogs of War”. A future blog post will announce the publications for anyone interested.
On that note: The Wrath-Bearing Tree has also agreed to publish an essay I included in my MFA thesis, “Whatever it was, it’s gone now” by the end of the year. Very excited and proud of this one. I’ll keep anyone interested informed of that publication too.
Anyway.
Good things happening over here in Northern Idaho—finished my MFA, won a long-standing battle with the VA, and I’m writing more than ever. Birding a lot too; and as with anything I’m even mildly interested in, I’ve been coming up with ideas for books about the subject. This one would be centered around birding, as well as mental health and veteran transition. More to come.
Anyway.
Hope all’s well with you, whoever you are. Until next time.
